SUEZ India leading the way in sustainability
At SUEZ India, sustainability is at the heart of everything we do - from processes, plant operations to day-to-day working and more. With an intent to further strengthen this resolve, last year, we launched a wellness campaign called SUEZ India ‘Force for Good’ campaign, aimed towards well-being across three key themes namely environmental, mental and financial well-being.
The roaring success prompted us to launch the second edition of this campaign in 2024 focusing primarily on environmental well-being.
In June and July, we organised a series of activities involving our colleagues, clients and other stakeholders. The objective was to simply emphasise on the need for collective efforts towards a greener, cleaner future.
Week of Sustainability in June
In June, we planned a week-long activity to mark World Bicycle Day (June 3), World Environment Day (June 5), and World Ocean Day (June 8). As part of the celebrations, we organised a relay race that included participants to run, cycle, segregate waste from water and finish the race by watering a sapling.
The event in Delhi took place at our Sonia Vihar site and was carefully curated to ensure it’s planned in a sustainable fashion. This was SUEZ India’s first ever complete sustainable event with elements ranging from transportation to cutlery to nurturing the environment, complying thoroughly with environment-friendly norms - a pioneering moment in our history and a huge collective success! It also highlighted the spirit of collaboration, a key aspect of the SUEZ Leadership Model.
Other project sites across India replicated the initiative with participation from both community members and clients. Some of the cities covered were Delhi, Coimbatore, Kolkata, Lucknow, Davanagere and Mangaluru.
Plastic Free July
We organised three activities: a plastic collection and segregation drive, a guided tour of Aravali Biodiversity Park and a workshop in collaboration with Chintan, an environmental NGO, on combating plastic pollution and transitioning to a circular society.

Plastic collection and segregation drive
The plastic collection and segregation drive was organised to encourage employees and community members to participate in the initiative. The drive not only helped in cleaning up our surroundings but also educated participants about the importance of proper waste management and recycling.
At SUEZ India, we believe that small actions can lead to significant changes. Through initiatives like these, we continue to be a #ForceForGood, working towards a sustainable and environmentally conscious future.
